How to Pack Parcels

Safe transport of your shipment starts with proper packing. Parcels are transferred between vehicles 2–3 times during transit, mechanically sorted on conveyor belts, and stacked on top of each other.

1Choose the right box

  • Minimum 3-ply, undamaged cardboard box.
  • Match the box size to the contents – not too big, not too small.
  • Pack smaller items in separate boxes, then place them in a larger box.
⚠️

Do not use boxes from crisps, nappies, etc. – they are too thin and fragile.

2Sealing and reinforcement

  • Seal the box with packing tape or DUCT TAPE – bottom and top flaps.
  • Additionally, wrap with stretch film.
  • Do not seal the box with masking tape, electrical tape, or paper tape.

3Filling the parcel

Use appropriate cushioning materials so the contents do not move inside the box.

  • Flopak – for heavy items.
  • Skropak – biodegradable, safe for electronics.
  • Air pillows – for light and delicate items.
  • Polystyrene moulds – best for electronics.
  • Newspaper/wrapping paper – only as supplementary fill.

4Packing the contents

  • Protect each item individually (bubble wrap, fabric, cardboard).
  • A minimum 5 cm protective layer is recommended for each item.
  • Do not overload the box – check the maximum weight capacity.
  • Remove old labels and barcodes from the box.

5What not to do

⚠️

Do not send liquids or glass in standard parcels.

⚠️

Do not join boxes in a makeshift way.

⚠️

Do not use cling film for wrapping.

⚠️

Do not send empty boxes.
