Motorcycle Transport

Motorcycle transport requires proper vehicle preparation and protection of all parts prone to mechanical damage.

1Preparing the motorcycle

  • Wash the motorcycle – this makes it easier to detect any damage before and after transport.
  • Take photos from all sides – documentation of condition before shipping.
  • Check the fuel level – the tank should be filled to max 1/4.
  • Disconnect the battery – secure the terminals with tape.
  • Check tyre pressure – it should be within normal range.

2Securing components

  • Mirrors: remove or fold and protect with bubble wrap.
  • Handlebars: set straight, secure with tape to prevent turning.
  • Fairings and plastics: wrap with bubble wrap, especially edges.
  • Exhaust: cover the inlet and outlet with cardboard (to prevent dirt entry).
  • Panniers, saddlebags: remove and pack separately.

3Securing for transport

  • We transport motorcycles on a trailer – the bike must be securely fastened.
  • Tie-down straps: the motorcycle will be strapped down by our team.
  • Side stand: fold and secure – the motorcycle will stand on its wheels.
💡

Disable the anti-theft alarm – it may go off during transport and drain the battery.

4Important information

  • Vehicle documents (registration certificate, insurance) – prepare separately, they may be required.
  • Hand over the keys to the driver personally.
  • Loose accessories (helmets, gloves) – pack separately in a box.
⚠️

The motorcycle must be technically sound – brakes, handlebars, and wheels must work correctly.

⚠️

Oil or fuel leaks disqualify the motorcycle from transport.
